TURNING YESTERDAY’S CHARMS INTO TODAY’S TREASURES.

When I was a little girl, my family always had wonderful holiday dinners.  My sister and I would set the table with the family’s most beautiful china and crystal.  We always used a set that my grandparents had passed down to my parents.  They were a stunning cream with fabulous pink peonies in the center with green and rose color accents.

Those family dinners hold such vivid memories of  family togetherness and celebration.  I can still remember how special I felt at the holiday table sharing food, conversation and mostly love.

My memories of these occasions led to my  fascination with china and really all things that are beautiful.  When I inherited these dishes, I treasured them and loved to use them.  When my first son was born, I passed on the tradition of setting the holiday table to him.  It shouldn’t be a surprise that on his first attempt, one of the peony plates broke.  I didn’t have the heart to throw it out.  Hence, a new career was born.  I became a mosaic artist!
